It's been less than a year since our last visit to Qingcaiyuan, and this time we made a point to arrive early. On one hand, we didn't want to struggle to find parking, as I personally prefer not to navigate the steep slope to their parking lot and instead opt for a spot on the upper level – a matter of luck. On the other hand, we wanted to avoid long queues. We practically entered Qingcaiyuan right after they opened, only to find that there were already others who arrived even earlier. Half of the seats inside were already occupied when we got in, and shortly after we were seated, the place was completely packed.
I couldn't help but wonder, it was a weekday lunch, and we were in Yangmingshan Zhuzihu, which takes some time to drive to. What could be the reason for such a crowded turnout?
The Taro Rice Noodle Soup and Ginger Sweet Potato Soup have both increased in price, and previously, refills were allowed. However, now refills are no longer permitted. It seems like the current portions are larger than before, although I can't quite recall the exact size from the past.
Enjoying a crispy-fried stream shrimp while craving a refreshing drink! The seasoning is slightly bold.

The sweet potato this time doesn't seem as sweet as before, and the ginger flavor is also a bit milder.
The chicken at Qingcaiyuan is still delicious as always, and the prices remain reasonable. However, the stir-fried dishes on that particular day weren't evenly seasoned; some were too salty, especially considering we didn't order rice. It was a bit of a disappointment. On the other hand, other aspects like portion sizes were fine, and it still provides a satisfying and filling dining experience. The overall cost-performance ratio here has gained recognition from many customers.
It's still worth a visit when you're in Yangmingshan, but making a special trip might be subjective!
