Taoyuan Dabeikeng Leisure Agriculture Area, don't miss the Rudbeckia flower season!

Taoyuan Dabeikeng Leisure Agriculture Area, don't miss the Rudbeckia flower season!

I didn't expect to see Rudbeckia flowers that I had looked for but missed seeing them at Maokong several times. Instead, it was at Taoyuan's Dabekeng Leisure Agriculture Area in Longtan that I came across them coincidentally. I wasn't very familiar with Longtan in Taoyuan. We were just visiting a friend and happened to arrange lunch together. We were then brought to Dabekeng, only to find out that it was coincidentally the Rudbeckia flower season. Moreover, a large area was planted with Rudbeckia here, on a bigger scale compared to the area at Maokong. It really was a serendipitous coincidence and good luck to be there during the blooming season. Even though it was a cloudy day when we visited, and the photos didn't turn out to be as beautiful, the The mood was still pretty good!

Dabeikeng Leisure Agriculture Area is an outdoor classroom for leisure agriculture development and soil and water conservation, with tea plantations, farms, restaurants, gardens, trails, historic houses, and comprehensive interpretive facilities. It is a scenic spot for leisure agricultural tourism that provides opportunities for rural experiences, refined service quality, and high-quality agricultural specialties, in order to increase agricultural productivity and create a quality environment for agricultural development. This allows the area to become a leisure district that combines tourism and recreation with agricultural production.

You can also experience some Hakka cuisine and culture here, with dining, entertainment and recreation all satisfied. It is around 50-60 minutes' drive from Taipei, and the location is a bit more remote. If not for the recommendation from locals, to be honest I wouldn't necessarily know about this place, let alone when I would ever go. So, gathering here under the pretext of a meetup did have many benefits.
