Perfect for Gifting or Personal Enjoyment: Hong Kong Lemon King Souvenirs Recommended

Young people always know where to find the best souvenirs! Just a quick browse on Xiaohongshu or Instagram, and you'll find countless recommendations and shopping lists for local specialties.

As someone who has visited Hong Kong more than ten times, I had never heard of Lemon King before—nor had any of my Hong Kong friends ever mentioned it. Of course, there are many reasons for this. One major factor is that Lemon King is located in Sheung Wan on Hong Kong Island, which requires a special trip to visit. Personally, unless I have a specific reason to go, I rarely venture to Hong Kong Island, as I prefer spending most of my time in Kowloon. Of course, this is just my personal preference—many people love Hong Kong Island and even choose to stay there when visiting.

Most of my Hong Kong friends live in Kowloon, and they rarely go to Hong Kong Island either. If you ask them for food or sightseeing recommendations there, they usually have no idea and aren’t very interested. So asking them about souvenir recommendations? Forget about it!

I didn’t see any salted lemons at all, even though we arrived just as the store opened. It seems like they’ve stopped making them and are now focusing more on candied lemons and olives. If you go too late, you might end up empty-handed! Also, proper storage is crucial, as these snacks can easily go bad or grow mold if not handled carefully. That said, the flavors were quite good, and I noticed a lot of tourists specifically coming to buy them—many even purchasing in bulk for reselling!
