It’s been a while since my last visit to Brick Yard 33 1/3 (BY33). This time, I was back for a family gathering and to take the opportunity to stroll around Yangmingshan. I wanted to escape the city for a bit and soak up some "phytoncides" (forest air) in the mountains—though, to be honest, I was mostly there to soak up some caffeine! After a cup of coffee, we headed back down. Haha!
Whether it's a weekday or a weekend, this place is always buzzing with people. I’m quite impressed by some of the seniors here—they hike up the mountain first and then come here for a big meal. Many others seem to come specifically for the food. The environment remains very comfortable and cozy; it’s a great choice for gatherings with friends, colleagues, or family. The only downside is that you really need a car to get here, as public transport isn't the most convenient.
Simply put, not a single dish failed to hit the spot; every plate ended up completely polished. For us, it was an incredibly satisfying and hearty meal. Would it suit your taste? You’ll have to try it for yourself! Whether something is mainstream or a niche favorite, as long as it suits you, that's what matters. After all, whether food is "good" or not shouldn't be based on what others say—you only know once you've tasted it yourself!
