The Smangus Tribe is located deep within the mountains, making transportation quite inconvenient. There's only one access road in and out, with no possibility of resupply along the way. The Taiwan CPC Jianshi Station is the last refueling station before the industrial road to the Simakus Tribe. Many vehicles heading to the mountainous area stop here for a rest. Some chartered buses from day trip tours are seen taking a break, using the restroom, and refueling at this location.
Vehicle supplies are all set! Now it's time for personal provisions. The FamilyMart jianshi Wild Ginger Blossom Store is the last convenience store before heading up. Although there are other convenience stores along the way from the gas station, this one is more spacious. Besides, it feels special to visit the last convenience store before embarking. Do you think its business would be slow here? It seems to be doing exceptionally well, always crowded with people. Inside the Simakus Tribe, there's a small shop too, offering instant noodles, snacks, and drinks – a good option for those who don't want to carry a lot of food or feel lazy to do so. Just be prepared for slightly higher prices, but that's quite understandable.
