The annual Yilan International Children's Folklore & Folkgame Festival is the most lively time of Dongshan River Water Park, and it is also one of the reasons why Dongshan River Water Park was well known at the beginning. I also visited with my family when I first hosted the Yilan International Children's Folklore & Folkgame Festival, and never came to Dongshan River Water Park again. The rest I saw its information on the news. After all, Yilan International Children's Folklore & Folkgame Festival's influence on it is really too great. But I didn't expect to have a different appearance on weekdays, instead of the lively and noisy environment, but a calm, laid-back and comfortable atmosphere.
For the locals, they can enter for free as long as they hold their identification documents. This is a large park for them. The ability to come here to exercise, walk or date makes people living in the city very envious and jealous, even if you take the largest Daan in Taipei. There is no way to compare the forest park,but there is still a river passing through this park.
Such a large park usually takes a lot of time to organize to maintain its current neat and clean appearance. It takes a long time to walk or ride a bicycle here to walk the entire park. The only downside is that it is really too hot in the summer on the road without shelter. Otherwise, sitting on the river bank and enjoying a quiet time with a cup of coffee will not have the same atmosphere and feeling as going abroad.
On weekdays, it may not be as lively as it would be on weekends. You can’t see couples renting bicycles or children running around, or even a little deserted. But isn’t the occasional visit to the park just to relax and escape some crowds?
