A special experience, staying in a Korean B&B in Montreal. Why is it special? Because I have absolutely no idea how Korean classmates found the homestay. They only gave me the address and said they found accommodation. (Foreword summary: We did not book any accommodation in advance for this trip, we just called or found a hotel temporarily) And this part was handed over to Korean students to arrange, basically I was responsible for concentrating on driving and arranging the itinerary Mainly attractions.
The owner of this B&B has been in Montreal for several years. He is renting out the empty room at home to travelers! Most of the estimates that will be found here are mostly Korean. I wonder if they have a secret way to communicate. Otherwise, when Airbnb was still in its infancy, it seemed a little difficult to find this kind of homestay. In 2012, most people still book hotels! It is not as convenient to book a homestay as it is now, especially for poor students who want to save money.
The structure of this building is also very special, which is rectangular and narrow. The corridors and spaces inside are not very large. But the location is not bad! And there is a parking lot next to it, which is a very important thing. Driving in downtown Montreal is very inconvenient. Basically, walking or taking public transportation is a better choice! Our three days and two nights in Montreal were just like that. You can walk to most of the famous attractions you want to visit!
There is a simple breakfast provided and the bathroom is very small.
The sofa bed that two people sleep on is actually not that good. What a Korean classmate said!
An easy mattress!
It wasn't a very luxurious place, but it was a sleeping place for us at the time. Not very demanding. Korean classmates don't care. They want to spend more money on shopping. All of them have a Korean classmate who went shopping in those days. However, the owner of this homestay is quite friendly and will also give some travel information. Anyway, we are basically mainly outdoors, and when we come back here, we go to sleep.
It is not clear whether it is still operating this. It is a memory and a memory for me!
