Two attractions next to the Old Port of Montreal. Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours and Bonsecours Market. I've been trying to figure out their correct Chinese names, but it's really hard. There are several Chinese translations that can be found on Google. I'm not sure which is right at all. Some are translated from French to Chinese, and some are translated from English to Chinese. The easiest way is to simply memorize English! In fact, I did not go to these two scenic spots with a purpose. Only discovered it while walking along the old port area. Because of their architectural shape they caught my attention.
Bonsecours Market is right next to Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours. Built in 1847, it was originally intended to impress visitors and showcase the grandeur of Montreal. Originally an important farmers market, it also served as Montreal's city hall until it moved to its current location. Fortunately, the building has been repurposed and refurbished and has come alive again.
There used to be a lawn in front of Bonsecours Market (now other facilities have been established). Sometimes I don't understand the thoughts of foreigners, why should I take off and lie in the middle of a group of pigeons. And there are photographers taking pictures. Where is it going to be used?
