This type of park is actually very educational. There is no doubt that it is very much recognized at this point. But it's actually very difficult for this kind of place. It's the tangled mentality of whether to go in or not. It is no longer a question of whether it will be boring inside. But this one also preserves the remains of the 921 earthquakes that year. Of course, it is fortunate that there were no casualties here. However, it still reminds me of what happened that day.

At 1:47 a.m. On September 21, 1999, a strong earthquake with a magnitude of 7.3 on the Richter scale occurred in central Taiwan. The casualties and property losses were one of the largest earthquake disasters in Taiwan in the past century.

In order to remind the public to attach importance to earthquake prevention and disaster relief measures, after the September 21 earthquake, the government and scholars and experts believed that the fault dislocation, school building collapse, river bed uplift and other landforms in the Wufeng Township Guangfu Middle School Base had the best conditions among several candidate sites. After the earthquake, the landforms are well preserved. To facilitate the restoration of the current site of the National Middle School, the "Earthquake Memorial Museum" was planned to be rebuilt to preserve the original site of the earthquake, record the historical facts of the earthquake, and provide living materials for earthquake education for the general public and schools. It was officially named "92" on February 13, 2001 an Earthquake Education Park” to highlight its commemorative and educational significance. Source: National Museum of Natural Science!

I remember that night when the earthquake occurred, I was sleeping. He was woken up by his father who was sleeping next to him, and he had no time to react or run away. I just lay looking at the ceiling and waited for the earthquake to end, even though I felt so shaken right now. But there was no particularly big reaction, like getting up quickly and avoiding it. It's actually bad behavior. There's almost no chance of it actually happening. When I woke up in the morning, I was surprised that it was so serious, but it was also because I was still very young. There is not much of this awareness and concept!

Few people come to visit on weekdays. Closes at 5pm. We were persuaded not to go in after 4 o'clock, saying that they were already cleaning the environment. Go in and leave immediately, you can't see the whole park!

Some dumped school buildings can also be seen outside. Retain the appearance after the earthquake. It is also for the public to recognize the wreckage after the earthquake. It will be of great help to improve safety awareness or protection awareness. If you have time, you can visit and learn about it, and you can also stop by the nearby Guangfu New Village. However, the officials do not do very well for these publicity and marketing. If I hadn't just seen the sign nearby, I wouldn't have known there was a 921 Earthquake Education Park! So how do you attract people to visit?
