The bread served before the meal with butter is really delicious, but you shouldn't eat too much, or you'll be too full to enjoy the rest of the meal. Otherwise, I would definitely ask for another serving! (For those who are used to eating bread and love bread.) Generally speaking, Portuguese cuisine tends to be on the heavier side, so be prepared for that. However, some dishes can be customized to be less oily and salty. But even with these adjustments, those who usually eat light may still find the flavors quite strong. (Mineral water comes at an extra charge, but you will probably need it unless you're quite tolerant of stronger tastes.)
Bacalhau is one of the most common fish used in their dishes, and it's a must-try since many of their specialties feature it as the main ingredient. The thick-cut cheese bread is also delicious, though you'll have to put aside any concerns about calories while eating it. The Portuguese stir-fried clams are fresh but quite salty, and the Portuguese chicken is undoubtedly a must-order dish! Overall, the experience was good, but I recommend making a reservation before you go. For those who prefer lighter flavors, the meal might feel a bit heavy, but I personally didn’t have any issues with it, as long as it wasn't just salty. Since I arrived late that day, I didn't order any other main dishes or sides, and there are still a few things I'd like to try next time.
