Lady nara Taipei: Fusion Thai Cuisine That’s as Beautiful as it is Delicious.

Sometimes, missing out on the restaurant you planned to visit isn't a bad thing. It means you get the chance to step into an unplanned venue and taste dishes you never imagined. It could be a culinary delight, an average meal, or even an experience beyond words—but it’s always a new adventure. Walking into Lady nara (New Thai Cuisine) was exactly that kind of coincidence. The restaurant we originally planned to visit had a long queue, while here, a table had just opened up. All we had to do was wait a moment for them to clear the table.

As the name "New Thai Cuisine" suggests, you can guess it's not strictly traditional; there’s a sense of creative fusion. I was looking forward to seeing what kind of innovative Thai dishes they offered that I hadn't encountered elsewhere.

The Deep-fried Corn was actually quite tasty, but unfortunately, it’s no longer on the menu.

The Clam Pasta was decent—the seafood was definitely fresh.

The Thai Steamed Lemon Fish with Rice was pretty cool. To put it simply, it combines the lemon fish directly with the rice. Usually, you’d have to spoon the fish and sauce onto your rice yourself, but here, they’ve integrated them for you. It felt a bit unusual at first, but it grew on me as I kept eating. However, that’s assuming you’re not afraid of sour and spicy flavors!

The fried dish in the last photo is also no longer on the menu, so just take a look—regardless of how it tasted, it’s unavailable now! The service here was friendly and didn't feel overly pressuring, despite the frequent table-side check-ins. By the time we were finishing our drinks, the table had been completely cleared of plates.
