Eastern Canada Road Trip | Kondiaronk Belvedere, Mont Royal Park, Montreal

A mountain in Montreal, just north of downtown. The city of Montreal is also named after this mountain. It is a famous and popular attraction in Montreal. Also, one of the great parks in Montreal! On weekdays, locals also come to climb the mountain for exercise. By the way, you can also see the scenery! But don't worry if you are about to walk up, although the altitude of this mountain is only 233 meters. However, if you have a car, you can also reach the observation deck directly! Kondiaronk Belvedere mainly looks at Old Montreal. Therefore, it is also a good place to see the night view.

Since we are three big boys to travel. There is no plan to go to see the night scene with them at all. Why embarrass yourself, even though you know it might be beautiful. Also choose a travel companion.

There is the famous Mount Royal Cross on the top of the mountain. The first cross was erected in 1643, and the current one was erected in 1924. It is about 31 meters high. In 2009, LED lights were installed. There are two large cemeteries on the hill: the Catholic Our Lady of the Snow Cemetery and the non-denominational Mount Royal Cemetery (mainly burial of Protestants)

On the hillside outside the park, there is St. Joseph's Church, the largest church in Canada; McGill University and its two teaching hospitals and stadiums; the University of Montreal, the Montreal School of Engineering and some well-off residential areas such as Westmont and Outremont.

Next to Kondiaronk Belvedere is the Mont Royal Chalet. There are two or three observation decks on Mount Royal, with different views in each direction. Different seasons will have different styles. Enough time to take a look around the whole thing! Otherwise, you can probably go down the mountain after staying here for 15 minutes. In summer, the viewing platform will be very hot, so I don't want to stay for a long time, even if the scenery is beautiful.
