There are two well-known brands of taro balls（yuyuan） in Jiufen. One of them is Lai a po yuyuan. The average person doesn't want to climb stairs if they don't want to walk too far. This is the most convenient option! As long as you come in from the entrance of the old street next to the 7-11 supermarket, walk along the old street and you will see it. Its presence is difficult to ignore, and there must be people queuing at the door of the store. They are cooked and sold every day, but I haven't actually eaten Lai a po yuyuan. After passing by many times, they all looked at it and left.
This is the first time I have eaten Lai a po yuyuan in my memory. Fortunately, it has seats, otherwise I guess I would have skipped it.
Taro balls in five colors. There are five flavors of taro, sweet potato, purple potato, sesame and green tea. The sweet soup was lightly seasoned, almost watery. It can only be said that it is suitable for people who eat light flavors. Then the taste of the taro balls is not my type. Some are not chewy, and some kinds of taro balls are floury. The material is not particularly large, and overall, it may not be so suitable for me. It actually feels pretty normal!
