【New Taipei Cuisine】Sanxia Songbai Garden | A must-try restaurant in Sanxia, a local favorite reigning supreme

The Dumpling House at Sanxia Songbai Garden is almost always our go-to restaurant whenever we visit Sanxia. One day, after wandering around Yingge Old Street with no idea what to eat, we ended up going to Songbai Garden again. It's quite amusing to think about, as although it's not far in terms of distance, we still made a special trip just to dine there. On one hand, there really aren't many food options on Yingge Old Street, and we didn't see many restaurants nearby either. After some thought, we figured we might as well go to Songbai Garden where there's a wider variety of choices. Besides dumplings, they also offer braised dishes and stir-fried dishes, providing a rich and diverse selection. It allows for a balanced intake of vegetables, proteins, and starches.

The exhilaration of devouring meat in large bites! A protein boost to complement your meal.

A large plate of tofu products for just NT$100, a portion size you can't find in Taipei.

A favorite among Hakka people! Or maybe just a favorite in my family—either way, we always order it when we see it on the menu.

Its dried radish chili sauce is a bestseller, with many customers only scooping up the dried radish, leaving a large jar of chili oil behind. If you arrive late, you won't get a chance to taste it at all. Honestly, the dishes here can't be called the most unique or delicious; they taste more like home-cooked meals. The quality of the dumplings has slightly declined, as I've heard the taste was better in the past. However, it's the kind of place you'd want to occasionally visit when you're in the area!
