Neipi Beach in Nanfang'ao, Lover's Bay, is a local gem—a hidden spot where locals enjoy sipping coffee while admiring the sea views and unwinding. If it weren't for friends guiding the way, finding this remote location would be nearly impossible. Just gazing at the ocean makes the journey worthwhile, although it's a pity the weather wasn't ideal on the day of visit. Nonetheless, the scenery would surely be even more stunning on a clearer day.
It's said that in the past, this beach was bustling with maritime activities and offered opportunities for water play. However, due to changes in the coastline, it's no longer safe for swimming. Similar to Hualien's Qixingtan, it's a beach meant solely for admiring—venturing into the water is highly risky.
Lover's Bay boasts several scenic cafes, making it a delightful spot for both family outings and romantic dates. According to friends, when the weather is nice, these cafes are often bustling with visitors, especially on weekends and holidays. It's a serene place to spend leisurely hours, making it an ideal destination for a half-day trip. Plus, you can always stop by the nearby Nanfang'ao Fish Market to purchase some fresh seafood!
