The Bilu Sacred Tree is located in Xiulin Township, Hualien County, Taiwan, and is one of the most famous attractions along the Central Cross-Island Highway. This incense cedar, over 3,000 years old, stands about 50 meters tall with a trunk diameter of 3.5 meters. The tree is named "Bilu" (which means "emerald green") because its dense crown and emerald green leaves resemble jade. When sunlight shines upon it, the entire tree glows brilliantly, creating a breathtaking sight. The Bilu Sacred Tree is not only magnificent in appearance but also has a long and storied history.
There is a parking lot here for temporary rest, and there are restrooms available. There used to be a small convenience store, but it has since closed down. Running a business here is indeed challenging due to the lack of frequent traffic on regular days. Although the restrooms are usable, water is not very convenient. Please do not leave trash here, as there is no one to clean it up. It stands in isolation, with occasional visitors stopping by briefly.
