Seeing is believing. Only by visiting a place can you truly know if you like it. Taiwan has numerous fishing ports, both large and small, and there are many that people haven't heard of. Longfeng Fishing Port is one such place. Despite its impressive and grand name, it remains relatively unknown. Is it due to its geographical location, or is it simply lacking points of interest that attract tourists? After visiting, I had some profound thoughts. Although it is on one of the routes back to my hometown, the West Coast Expressway follows the coastal line. Unless there's traffic congestion, this route is usually avoided as it takes longer to travel. Therefore, I'm not very familiar with the attractions near the West Coast Expressway.
The direct sales center for seafood is quite small, and the environment is not well-maintained. Compared to other fishing ports, the difference is significant.
The weather wasn't very good on the day I visited. It was cloudy and very windy. There weren't many areas along the coastline that were accessible.
Longfeng Fishing Port is not a large fishing port. It seems that apart from the local residents, there aren't many tourists. Perhaps the poor weather that day, which made it unsuitable for fishing boats to go out, also contributed to the scarcity of seafood and the limited number of open shops.
This was the only seafood fried food stall open that day. I bought a few items to try, but they were too greasy, masking the fresh taste of the seafood. The service was not great either, and as for the environment, the pictures speak for themselves. In conclusion, this was probably our first and last visit to Longfeng Fishing Port. We couldn't find a reason to come back as it lacked appeal. Of course, this is just my personal opinion—maybe it suits others better.
