I still remember my first visit to the Central–Mid-Levels Escalator when I was a child. Back then, this escalator and the one inside Ocean Park were the most exciting ones I had ever seen. The Central–Mid-Levels Escalator and Walkway System is a pedestrian transportation system connecting Central and the Mid-Levels area in Hong Kong. Officially opened on October 15, 1993, the system spans over 800 meters, making it the longest outdoor covered escalator system in the world.
