Hong Kong Tsui Wah Restaurant: The Go-To Spot When You Don't Know What to Eat!

Have you ever heard of Hong Kong's Tsui Wah Restaurant? Well, I’m quite familiar with it. After all, I’ve eaten there many times in the past. Back then, its scale was nowhere near what it is today. In the past, whenever I visited Hong Kong, I would almost always eat at Tsui Wah at least once. The reason was simple—I didn’t know what else to eat. Whenever I was unsure of what to eat or was short on time, my instinctive choice was always Tsui Wah.

I remember visiting friends in Hong Kong and asking them for food recommendations. Their response? “I don’t know.” And before I knew it, we were already standing outside Tsui Wah. It was the quickest and most hassle-free choice. Then, when I asked them what they would recommend, they simply replied, “Everything’s about the same.” And that was it. Pretty funny, right? But honestly, it’s true. Most of the dishes at Tsui Wah are decent—not particularly bad, but also not especially unique. As for the prices, they’re just okay—not exactly cheap.

So every time I see a Tsui Wah, I always feel a sense of familiarity and nostalgia. However, I don’t walk in right away. I’ll first check if there are other restaurants nearby that I want to try. If I really can’t decide, then I’ll go to Tsui Wah. Oh, and if not Tsui Wah, then probably Café de Coral.
